Up to 16 writers may enroll to receive a comprehensive manuscript review, with detailed notes and a video call with one of our talented EL editors. This opportunity extends to writers of all experience levels. <\/span>Before enrolling, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">please review the full description of the manuscript consultation, as well as our roster of editors, at this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/electricliterature.com\/support\/consultations\">https:\/\/electricliterature.com\/support\/consultations<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Editor Selection: <\/b>Bios of Electric Lit editors are available <a href=\"https:\/\/electricliterature.com\/support\/consultations\">here<\/a>. Writers now have the ability to select which editor they prefer to work with, though selections are not guaranteed. Editor Kelly Luce offers written feedback only, including in-line notes, an editorial letter, and follow-up via email. All other editors offer in-line notes and a video call.<\/p>\n<p><b>Availability: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of consultations is based on staff availability, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Three slots will be reserved for members at a 5% discount. Members who did not already receive a private link to purchase the discounted consults should email <a href=\"mailto:editors@electricliterature.com\">editors@electricliterature.com<\/a> to request the link.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Timeline: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you have purchased a consultation, you have until March 1, 2026 to submit your manuscript. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each writer will receive detailed marginal notes and a 30-minute video or phone call with their editor, to be completed by April 30, 2026.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Manuscript consultations can be purchased until February 2, 2026 (or until the 16 available slots are filled). The deadline to submit materials is March 1, 2026.<\/span><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-After you purchase the manuscript consultation here, we will send you a private Submittable link to submit your manuscript.<\/span><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>-When you submit, please use the following format for naming your file: FICTION\/NONFICTION_Title of Piece_Last Name.<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-To purchase a manuscript consultation as a gift, simply forward the confirmation email that contains the submission link to the gift recipient.<\/span><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>-In lieu of a cover letter and author bio, please include a paragraph or two about yourself to help us to get to know you, and your progress with the submitted work. Where are you in the revision process? Is there anything specific you would like help with? Please also note whether your submission is an essay or a short story.<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This opportunity will also serve as an important fundraiser for Electric Lit, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
